The morning rain provided all the luck in the world (and the most magical afternoon light!!!) for Linda & Jeremy at their May wedding in Williston, Vermont. On the morning of Linda and Jeremy’s Spring May wedding, it was raining! We were all nervous but had a positive energy that the rain would fade, allowing us to have their wedding ceremony in the garden space at Catamount Country Club in Williston, VT.
On the morning of Linda and Jeremy’s Spring May wedding, it was raining! We were all nervous but had a positive energy that the rain would fade, allowing us to have their wedding ceremony in the garden space at Catamount Country Club in Williston, VT.
While getting ready in the bridal suite at Catamount, the sun started to peek through the heavy rain clouds. We were also planning a “first look” and I was making every preparation to have this moment on the covered porch. But, shortly after the groom and his groomsmen all arrived (after getting ready at a nearby hotel) the sun came out! I was so happy and excited about these two because the outdoor space at Catamount is so beautiful.
After the “first look” in the garden at Catamount Country Club, the rain still held off and we were able to do our wedding party photos in the same wonderful location! I captured many great bride and groom portraits of these two - with Linda in her gorgeous princess gown with tulle and jewels for the day! And Jeremy in a classic grey suit and seafoam green tie with a matching pocket square.
The bridal party had 4 bridesmaids in seafoam green with grey scarf wraps (that matched perfectly to the guys' suits!) and 3 groomsmen plus a flower girl and ring bearer. We had time to do several photos of the whole group and individually as well, which is so wonderful to have time for because these are the most important friends and family to the bride and groom (other than parents and grandparents, of course!)
As we were wrapping up the formal wedding party photos in the garden, guests for the wedding ceremony started to arrive. The set up for the garden ceremony space at the country club is very unique and interesting. Guests watch the ceremony from a covered porch area that overlooks the garden. The bride and groom stand facing each other on a huge rock slab of granite and are surrounded by their bridal party who stand around them on the ground. It makes for a picture-perfect “first kiss” photo from behind with the bride and groom kissing and all the guests on the porch in the background (see below!!)
After the ceremony completed, we had time to do some family photos which was so much fun! Lastly, I had time with Linda and Jeremy for some bride and groom portraits together around the property at the country club. Because it had rained earlier in the day, some of the areas we could go were limited. Yet despite this, Catamount Country Club offered many beautiful locations where we could capture a variety of photos in a small area in very little time!
It was great to get these photos done so quickly so the two could relax a little before the reception officially started.
The rest of the night went as flawlessly as the entire day did, even though we had heavy rain in the morning! The photos below show a little bit of the fun that was had by all throughout the evening - what a party!
Thank you to Sven Eisenhauer for being my amazing second photographer and, of course, a HUGE thank you to Linda, Jeremy and their fantastic friends and family that made out jobs that day one of the most fun and beautiful weddings of the season!!
