View the sneak peek photos from Leslie & Chris’s gorgeous August wedding on Labor Day Weekend in NH! We had a spectacular summer day that felt more like Fall at Waterville Valley Resort in the White Mountain National Forest of New Hampshire.
SNEAK PEEK photos from Sarai & Bill’s amazing summer wedding! We had the most beautiful summer day which started of perfectly with a traditional ceremony at St. Rose of Lima Parish in Northborough, MA. When the ceremony completely, we continued on to their venue for formal photos, cocktail hour and reception. Harrington Farm in Princeton, MA is a gorgeous farmhouse venue with wonderful photo opportunities inside and out! I am always excited to photograph a wedding there and Sarai & Bill’s special day was no exception!
Is it the crisp, cool and refreshing Autumn air? Or maybe the limitless views from the craggy summits in the White Mountains? Ahh, yes it’s all these things but mostly it is the Fall foliage colors that cover the forests of this state like a quilt throughout the month of October.
These are also the reason why this time of year is the most popular for weddings. The backdrop is unique and beautiful, like every bride, where the white dress pops from a background or oranges, reds and golds.
For some couples it’s a worst case scenario, but for a professional wedding photographer a rainy day wedding is seen as an opportunity. First off, it is so rare that a rain event on a wedding day is so torrential that the idea of doing some photos outside is completely off the table – I would say this happens to me maybe once a year. And this rule certainly applied at Maureen & Christopher’s Spring wedding at Waterville Valley Conference & Event Center in Waterville Valley, NH. Though the family formals, the ceremony and reception had to be inside or under cover, we were able to use the beautiful scenery of the White Mountain National Forest and the Osceola Arbor as the backdrop to the “first look”, bride & groom portraits and wedding party photos.
Imagine a dream destination wedding at one of the most beautiful places in the world – Martha’s Vineyard. The sea air hits you as soon as you reach the ferry in Wood’s Hole, and transports you to a new place that feels like the best kept secret that everyone knows about but few act upon. The haze in the hot and not-quite-summer air created the most beautiful light and I cannot think of a better spot than Sailing Camp Park for an intimate, outdoor wedding ceremony on Memorial Day Weekend.
Sarah and Thomas were married on October 8th, with a ceremony and reception at the Nonantum Resort in Kennebunkport. It was such a blast to be their wedding photographer for their gorgeous fall wedding on the coast of Maine.
I started the day by photographing Melissa getting ready in the locker room at the country club ahead of the ceremony. I could already tell that this was going to be a perfect wedding to photograph because, even late into October, we still had those amazing fall foliage colors and warm, sunny weather—not to mention a warm, sunny bride who was brimming with joy! I always tell my couples to plan ahead for the weather, but sometimes, Mother Nature provides the kind of backdrop you simply can’t ask for!
