Autumn Wedding at The Barn on the Pemi
NH Fall Wedding Photos at The Barn on the Pemi with a Romantic Greenhouse Ceremony
As a wedding photographer in New Hampshire, one of my absolute favorite barn wedding event venues has to be The Barn on the Pemi. This event space is located in the gateway to The White Mountain National Forest in Plymouth, New Hampshire and is part of the Common Man family. The Barn on the Pemi offers 10,000 square feet of event space, perfect for your wedding reception of up to 300 guests. Also on the property is a unique and beautiful open-air greenhouse for your wedding ceremony.
The Barn on the Pemi is one of the best venues for an NH wedding photographer because it has a great layout for the classic New England “outdoor-indoor” style wedding and filled with rustic charm. The outdoor spaces are amazing on their own while the indoor spaces fit great into the scene and are beautiful all on their own.
Even if it does happen to rain on your wedding day, there will be no need for disappointment since the indoor spaces are so wonderful. Why not get married at the barn? The property also showcases mountain views and is along the Pemigewasset River.
You and your guests can also stay nearby at the Common Man Inn & Spa. During the summer months, they also provide a trolley service between the two venues. If the trolley is not available, school buses are for hire in the area. Which is exactly what my couple did on their big day, see below!
The Barn on the Pemi Wedding Photos: Details and Inspiration
View photos below for inspiration for your rustic barn wedding. An antique mirror can also be a sign for your guests by writing on the glass with a white dry-erase marker. Besides just having “rustic” as your theme, why not tie in an element that bonds you two as a couple?
In these photos, you will see bicycles used as a secondary wedding theme throughout. Also, when using a grand venue like a barn for your dinner party and reception, simple table settings and centerpieces are okay. Let the room and atmosphere speak for itself and spend that extra money your saving on an amazing photographer or upgrading the menu.
Arriving at The Barn on the Pemi on a School Bus Just in Time for Photos With Family and Friends
The bridal party rode a school bus from Mountain Fare Inn, where they were getting ready, to The Barn on the Pemi a while before the ceremony to allow plenty of time to get photos with all the important people. In special attendance was the bride and groom's adorable dog, Winslow. After finishing up with photos, the brides' mom assisted with the final touch.. putting on the brides' veil.
A Romantic Wedding Ceremony in a Greenhouse
The photos below tell the story of a tear-jerkingly romantic and beautiful wedding ceremony under the greenhouse at The Barn on the Pemi. This is one of the most interesting ceremony venues in the state of New Hampshire and as a wedding photographer based nearby, I can never get enough of it. Enjoy!
Celebrating Fall With the Bridal Party and Bride & Groom Photos
I love capturing a sense of place in all my wedding photography as a way of telling the unique story of not only the wedding day itself but also the story of the wedding couple. In New Hampshire especially, I find the couples choose my state as a destination for their wedding because it is so meaningful to them in some way beyond just the natural splendor of the place.
On this October day, the best Fall foliage and leaves were on the front lawn of the Italian Farmhouse, a restaurant located next to The Barn on the Pemi. The bridal party was more than willing to toss some leaves around and celebrate Autumn! I am so glad I was able to capture some beautiful Fall foliage photos of the wedding party and the bride and groom.
Barn on the Pemi Wedding Reception in Plymouth, NH
Inside the barn, is a wonderful setting for dinner, dancing and lots of fun to be had! Wide-open space downstairs yet warm and intimate upstairs creates the perfect balance for a wedding reception.
The bride and groom were formally introduced through the main entrance of the barn and made their way onto the dance floor where they started their first dance right away. Once done, all the guests and wedding party took their seats while family members, the maid of honor and the best man gave funny and heartfelt speeches and toasts. When dinner was nearly over, the bride and groom cut the cake and also played the shoe game to entertain the guests before the dance floor officially opened.
Sunset Photos at The Barn on the Pemi
After the cake and games, we went outside to take a few more photos in front of the barn. What a fantastic day!
